The
COMMON BREADS
Story

Tucked away in the heart of Belgravia, COMMON BREADS is our love letter to Beirut.
Founded by childhood friends, our menu is inspired by the vibrant street food culture of our home.

In Lebanon, bakeries are much more than just places to pick up bread— they are a part of daily life.

From early morning ka’ak vendors weaving through the streets, to the buzz of neighbourhood coffeehouses serving manouche with tea or coffee, there’s a real sense of heritage in every bite of our unique breads and pastries. When we moved to London years ago, we wanted to create a place that captured this same spirit. And so, after years of planning, we found the perfect spot to open our bakery in 2024.

At COMMON BREADS we celebrate the traditions of Lebanon , but with a modern twist. Our menu centres around two of our country’s most beloved bakes: ka’ak and manouche, made fresh to order every day.

You’ll spot our ka’ak hanging in the window, just like it would in the streets of Beirut, ready to be enjoyed on their own or filled with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our manouche are baked to order, topped with everything from za’atar & akkawi cheese, to more modern, creative combinations that simply taste great.

Alongside our signature bakes, our counter is filled with vibrant Middle Eastern salads, snacks and desserts. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee, picking up lunch or staying a while, we invite you to experience the warmth of Lebanese hospitality, right here in London.
